Dogs in Human Environments

When dogs are born in the wild, they are born in a natural environment. Their mother and older pack members instinctively guide them to learn all the skills for survival. The dogs learn quickly to use those instincts to thrive and survive.

Dogs living with humans are living in an artificial environment. The artificial environment can create artificial problems. We see a range of behaviors including leash pulling, jumping, excessive barking, nipping, anxiety and aggression.

The solution to ALL of these problems is found by using our leadership-based training. Check out the videos below to learn more.

At Always Faithful Dog Training, we teach you to lead your dog using the instinctive methods of a pack leader. Our founder, Abraham Mashal, explains what we call Leadership Training.

Our Founder Abraham Mashal explains how the human created artificial environment takes a dog away from their instinctual natural environment.

About Darrin

Level 2 IDTA Trainer; Specialty Certification IDTA Therapy Dog Trainer ; Training Cesar’s Way: Essentials of Dog Psychology and Socialization Course Graduate

I have been around dogs all of my life. As a child, my mother had two AKC Boxers that she raised, bred and showed. I was able to witness the births of many puppies and went to numerous competition dog shows with her. During my teenage years, my father had dogs that were occasionally used for hunting. Sam, our English Springer Spaniel was a great dog and it was with him that I began to learn proper care and nurturing of dogs. Hershey, one of my current dogs, is a Chocolate Lab mix that I rescued from a shelter in 2009. He was believed to be approximately 2 years old at that time. Hershey has traveled with me to multiple states visiting friends and family, and camping. We’ve gone hiking alone and also with local dog groups. We have also attended multiple end-of-summer doggy day events at local swimming pools and water parks. Hershey is well known throughout the neighborhood—especially with children—from our numerous walks. He is now living out his senior years at home. We also have a second rescue, a Maltese named Zachary, who joined the family in 2015 at two years of age.

After many years in the Information Technology field, becoming a franchise owner now allows me to work on a daily basis utilizing my passion for dogs.
