Dogs in Human Environments
When dogs are born in the wild, they are born in a natural environment. Their mother and older pack members instinctively guide them to learn all the skills for survival. The dogs learn quickly to use those instincts to thrive and survive.
Dogs living with humans are living in an artificial environment. The artificial environment can create artificial problems. We see a range of behaviors including leash pulling, jumping, excessive barking, nipping, anxiety and aggression.

Private lessons are located in your home and focus on meeting your specific training needs.
Private lessons cost $150 per lesson or choose from the following packages and save from the per lesson price

Obedience Packages
All Packages start with establishing Leadership. Obedience work is a key element to Leadership resulting in a well-balanced, well-behaved dog.
Basic Obedience
This training package is 5 in-home lessons that include five basic commands: Heel (walking), Sit, Stay, Come and Down. For puppies, we also provide guidance and documentation about house training, crate training, socialization, and responding to common behaviors like nipping & jumping.
Cost: $700 for one dog; $1000 for two dogs
Advanced Obedience
This package is 7 in-home lessons that include the five basic commands and expands their application based on your unique needs.
Cost: $900 for one dog; $1500 for two dogs
Advanced Obedience with High Distraction
This 9 lesson training package includes everything in Advanced Obedience and adds skills to achieve obedience in high distraction environments (listening with other dogs/people/distractions around).
Cost: $1200 for one dog; $2100 for two dogs
Specialty Training Packages
Therapy Dog Training
Teach your dog to provide affection, comfort and support to people in settings such as hospitals, retirement homes, nursing homes, schools, libraries, hospices, or disaster areas.
Cost: $2500. We train and provide the therapy certificate once training is complete
One Lesson Wonder
This service gives you our full attention for 90 minutes to solve most dog problems you may be having. We will come to your home, show you how to establish leadership and leave detailed notes and handouts to solve your dog problems. It also includes a follow up call after the lesson. Perfect for the dog who needs a lot of help very quickly.
Cost: $250
Specialty Training Packages

This service gives you our full attention for 90 minutes to solve ANY and ALL dog problems you may be having. We will come to your home, show you how to establish leadership and leave detailed notes and handouts to solve all dog problems. It also includes free unlimited follow up calls after the lesson. Perfect for the dog who needs a lot of help very quickly.

Board-and-Train Package
Board-and-Train
Our Board-and-Train training facility is located in North Aurora, IL and features the following:
✔️ Spacious and private dog runs with raised bedding area
✔️ Heated and air conditioned
✔️ Indoor and outdoor connected dog runs on over 1 acre of private property
✔️Large fenced in outside area with shaded canopy
Board-and-Train can be used to complete any form of training we offer.

Jim’s love of dogs began at a very young age. His family always had at least one dog but if Jim had his way it would have been many more. He currently has a terrier mix named Frannie who brings immense joy to his family. Jim received his BA of Economics and Mathematics from the University of Notre Dame. After working in corporate America for a while, Jim decided he couldn’t wait any longer to pursue his life-long dream of working with dogs. Being a franchise owner and trainer at Always Faithful Dog Training allows Jim to help improve dogs’ and owners’ relationships every day. And seeing clients begin to understand their dog is priceless!
